The Project

Zabeel House is Jumeirah Group’s line of design-led hotels, housed in some of Dubai’s most eclectic neighbourhoods focusing on experience and adventure. Found in The Greens Dubai, Zabeel is part of ‘The Onyx’ – a mixed-use development consisting of residential, commercial and retail units with 210 guest rooms, two restaurants, terrace dining around the pool area, conference and business facilities, as well as a gym and spa treatment rooms.

Industrial Hotel Design

As a key design trend, a New York Loft industrial styling was the design ethos throughout Zabeel house, from the tactile woods in the lobby through to Matt Black brassware in the bathrooms. With a growing trend of open plan and multi-functional spaces in interior design, the bathroom is integral to the suite with an industrial crittall-style partition.

Bagnodesign’s Matt Black range of brassware was the perfect fit for this upscale, yet casual decor style that was high on design and low on complexity. Matt White Bagnotec bath tubs offers an inviting tactility for guests to soak away stresses, filled by the luxurious freestanding M-Line bath filler. Or wash away the day under a Matt Black rain shower head, another striking statement against classic white subway tiles. The smooth lines and streamlined silhouettes of Bagnodesign products add a touch of modern sophistication to the overall look and feel in the hotel.

Dramatic Design to Public Areas

With a bar built from red bricks and scaffolding housing charming artifacts, the pan-asian restaurant Lah Lah also takes on an urban east-meets-west vibe with the public washrooms offering a strong industrial design.

Naturally Matt Black creates drama and adds depth; the flushplate, bidet spray, bottle trap and mixers coordinate to the black tiles and metal detailing – such as metal mesh panels that adorn the walls creating a rustic vibe. Concrete walls create a cosy cocoon with ambient lighting and rustic textures. As a full bathroom supply, Zephyr WC and Cube basin offer a glossy contrast against tactile materials whilst the knurled hand-crafted Arena mixer mimics the wheels of industrial machinery creating an authentic design aesthetic.
