Role Summary:

The role of the E-Commerce Manager is to take ownership of the ongoing development of our online sales channel and identify strategies that will continue to drive sales growth through customer acquisition, conversion, and retention and to ensure we are providing our customers a user friendly and inspirational online experience.

To be able to fulfil the role the successful candidate must proactively seek out relevant trends and innovations in e-commerce, whilst working collaboratively across all departments to ensure we are continuously striving to provide a best in class, online customer experience. The E-Commerce Manager will demonstrate confidence in dealing with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

Most important of all, the successful candidate needs to have a desire to be part of – and contribute to – the growth of our business.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop sales strategies for online growth in the UAE, GCC and more widely, Africa and Indian subcontinent.

o In conjunction with the management team define the key performance indicators of our online sales channel.

o Deliver analytics reports on a regular basis with clear specific KPIs to track and enhance performance.

o Manage all online activity in relation to website traffic, customer acquisition, conversion and retention,                        performance testing and reporting.

o Establish meaningful business insights and analytical tools to enhance the performance of the business.

 

• Support the sales and customer service teams to engage with customers to optimise conversion of all online traffic

o Proactively understand customer needs, how we can capture them, keep their interest, and identify insights for sales growth.

o Review security of checkout pages and payment procedures.

 

• Working in collaboration with the marketing team, create frameworks to transform our social media sites into highly profitable platforms.

o Propose online marketing campaigns to drive new visitors to the website. Measure the success of marketing activity and feed in recommendations for how they can be enhanced.

o Work closely with the web merchandising team to ensure accurate product data, sales focused content and a continuously improving user experience for customers.

 

• Direct activities of software developers, copywriters, and graphic designers to ensure we are adhering to company brand standards in line with our corporate identity.

 

• Conduct research on effective website layouts and features, advise on and implement changes to improve site and customer experience.

 

Key skills we are looking for…

 

Core Competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Marketing or similar

• Previous experience as an E-Commerce Manager with a track record of devising sales-enhancing strategies

• Sound knowledge of procedures and techniques in e-commerce

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across functions and departments

• Strong analytical, research and troubleshooting skills with a creative mindset

• Thrives in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
