Popular Hotspot

The 1872 Jules Verne novel Around the World in Eighty Days offered the creative inspiration for the décor of the newly opened and incredibly popular Phileas Foggs at the golf club Address Montgomerie, Dubai.

A row of clocks indicating different time zones to travel trinkets such as globes and telescopes are a constant reminder of the design intent. As the inspiring novel also famously features a hot air balloon, influences are evident from the basket style concierge stand to numerous miniature hot air balloons on the ceiling. Inspirations are found right through to the striped walls of the washrooms, emulating the stereotypical striped effect of a hot air balloon. Keeping to the old-world theme, a traditional washroom was specified; delivered with high cistern WC’s to classic mixer taps.

Old World Charm

Honoring the traditional materials of the 19th century which influenced the interior design, brass and copper are ever present and work wonderfully with the green striped walls as homage to the the green views of the golf course.

From the Vintage collection, the handmade bush-hammered Truro basins are complimented by the traditional style Princess Nouveau brassware and sleek Brushed Copper accessories, from toilet roll holder to soap dispenser for a fully coordinated scheme.
