Whilst laying the foundations remains of the Curtain Theatre from infamous play write Shakespeare were discovered – an incredible find. Proudly preserving the local landmark, the excavated remains will be showcased in situ as part of the developments unique character and history.
Timeless Designs by Nicola Fontanella
As a creative district it’s only fitting The Stage that the encompasses creative design. The brick effect wall is an industrial influence, yet the graffiti art – as homage to the street art in the area – creates an original urban edge to the boutique style apartments. Further accents include crittall sliding doors and Matt Black accents contrasted with walnut effect flooring and rich, the refined rustic design with a soft industrial edge also takes its inspiration from being a converted riverside warehouse, shown through the use of rich blue accents and celebrated bathroom for unwinding in the water.
The modern metropolitan design with black accents is continuous into the bathrooms with harmonising Matt Black brassware, with modern square shaped shower head, valve, handheld shower, mixer and accessories, alongside wall hung WC and inset basin. Delivering the promise for luxury living, the bathrooms even feature an over bath 22inch LCD TV ensuring every amenity is provided. The Stage is one of the most modern, on-trend developments of London, yet it’s certainly set to stand the test of time.
I particularly welcome the commitment to making part of London’s internationally important heritage accessible to the public and the imaginative way this has been delivered by the design team.
