It goes without saying that a beautifully decorated restaurant makes going out for dinner that extra special. Rohini by Little Miss India restaurant, located in Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Lakes Towers, brings a modern edge to traditional Indian cuisine. The avant-garde interior décor reflects this fusion through an interplay of patterns, textures, and colours.

Leveraging its fabrication expertise and expansive array of luxury offerings, SANIPEX GROUP supplied an extravagant custom-cut tile mosaic as well as quality bathroom solutions that were requested from fit-out company Lookonic Furnitures to complete the concept.

To be daringly different, the client wanted a completely bespoke floor tile design, which serves as the restaurant’s centrepiece. Using the latest cutting-edge technology for a seamless fit before handover, we were able to manufacture the chosen design within a rapid two-week turnaround at our Slab Fabrication facility in Jebel Ali, Dubai. To lay the foundation for a delightfully decadent atmosphere, a total of 5,800 individual pieces, meticulously cut from marble-effect porcelain tiles, were assembled into geometric jewel shapes by our skilled artisans on 631 mesh sheets each sized at 395mm x 395mm to provide a coverage of 102m². The result is a striking modern-traditional mosaic that weaves emerald green and ivory into a sublime contrast: an intricate design without over-complication. In keeping with the eclectic theme for the open kitchen/bar area, pops of yellow Goldcrest and Stone tiles were chosen for their vibrancy.

A subdued, urban vibe distinguishes the washrooms from the main room. Plisse tiles in a matt graphite hue give textural interest to the vanity, forming a focal point, while our own BAGNODESIGN Revolution mixers give off subtle hints of a continuing, modern industrial theme. Majestic matt black sanitaryware and brassware offer a unique take on the ubiquitous porcelain-white and chrome.
