Established by chance in 1939, the founder Holger Nieslen answered his wife’s request to design a pedal bin for her new hair salon. This was the company’s very first pedal bin. With popular demand to produce more, by the 1950s the bin was installed in clinics and other institutional and commercial spaces thoughout Denmark.
