Renovating an eight bedroom and bathroom villa in The Lakes can be seen as quite a challenge, however, with our client’s clear vision in mind and the support of our expert design and tile team, this residential project was a delight to work on.
With a classical taste, our client felt it was fundamental to have continuity with a similar aesthetic throughout the villa. A neutral but sophisticated colour palette was followed with our timeless Roma Pietra used as the primary floor tile throughout the open-plan family mansion. This choice of tile allows for no distraction from the villa’s statement pieces; acting in unison with the large and loud art pieces positioned in the main rooms, and the spiral stairs that trail up to the third floor.
Tiles possess the power to change the atmosphere of a given space; in the case of this villa, a light and peaceful aura has been created from the mixture of Lagos Ivory Matt floor tiles with glossy marble effect wall tiles in a majority of the bathrooms. The calming colour palette is a soft and tactile choice to pair with our Zanzibar finished products; from elegant Revolution Mono Basin Mixers to Flush Plates, Toilet Roll Holders and Towel Rails, all bathroom accessories are perfectly coordinated.
In the guest bathroom, however, polished Calacatta effect slabs are a bolder hotel-chic choice, particularly when paired with chrome finished accessories.
Post-pandemic, the global wellness trends we often see reflected in homes is the growing appeal of hotel-style bathrooms and at-home retreats. This villa is no exception, with a dedicated steam-room on the third floor overlooking the Dubai skyline, the ethos of this space implies a natural, calm and cosy getaway.
The steam room’s smart technology works in harmony with the Koy Shower Head, while the mixed use of FAP Roma Mosaics, from our Maku collection, and marble effect wall slabs allows for a clever embrace of two textures.
With a view onto the golf course, this villa fulfilled its outdoor potential by transforming into a truly outstanding space. With a large family and a knack for entertaining, the Lagos Ivory Matt outdoor tiles were the client’s logical choice to pave the way to the outdoor pool, where Nordstone Bianco lie beneath the surface.
Encircling the pool are our Jati & Kebon Sunbeds and Gymkhana Pulley Umbrellas, ideal for lounging around this tropical nirvana. Equipped with an outdoor kitchen space, the dining table and armchairs are set up for the perfect al-fresco lunch. Contrarily, for those starry nights under the Arabian sky, the Pluto Outdoor Whirlpool injects a sense of playfulness and a touch of wellbeing to outdoor living in the villa.
