Collaborating with Lulie Fisher Design Studio, SANIPEX GROUP was tasked to create an extraordinary custom floor tile mosaic, as well as supply stunning wall slabs for the master bathroom and secondary bathroom for one of the 3,770 sq. ft penthouse apartments.

With our fabrication expertise and custom precision cutting service, it was only fitting that the design studio turned to us to bring their unique vision to life.

After handing over their design idea for the custom tile, we rendered the design and selected a trio of polished marble-effect tiles in jade green, black and white from FAP, Del Conca and Panaria. The result is a bespoke Deco-style geometric mosaic that plays into the maximalist trend in all its intricacy and drama. A border of black and white frames the design and breaks up the boundary between the floor and the wall.

Manufactured at our Slab Fabrication facility in Jebel Ali, Dubai, this magnificent mosaic was hand-cut and assembled by our in-house artisans, who then mounted the pieces onto 1,250 sheets for easy, ready-to-install application for the contractors. In total, the mosaic covered 16m² in the master bathroom and 16m² in the secondary bathroom. It was imperative to ensure safety in these wet-prone areas, so the design was engineered to allow enough grouting to create adequate slip resistance, without sacrificing on the original design intent.

Leaning into the natural stone texture is the Statuario marble-effect slabs specified for the bathroom walls, as well as the shower and WC area. This white, all-over pattern helps to create zones within the separate shower and WC area, while giving the floor mosaic enough visual space to stand out. Interestingly, the slabs are bookmatched when viewed from the central vantage point between the two spaces: a hallmark of upscaled, thoughtful design.
